OVERVIEW

Program: 5-day overnight program of activities, including fun excursions and onsite programming.

Dates: July 9-13, 2023

Location: Siena College, Loudonville, New York

Accommodations: Air-conditioned dorm rooms with private bathrooms.
PARTICIPANTS
Guests
Young adults (primarily ages 21-40) who have physical and intellectual disabilities and are ambulatory, do not use a wheelchair.
Volunteers
Helpers: Young adults who accompany Guests, offering one-on-one support and camaraderie.
Staff: Dedicated volunteers who ensure that the site and program’s logistical needs are met.
Medical Staff: Licensed medical professionals who assist in responding to medical needs of participants.

Day 1 Opening Day
Opening ceremony, intro games, pottery painting, live country music
Day 2 Explore Albany Day
Helicopter rides, Albany scavenger hunt, talent show
Day 3 Adventure Day
White water rafting and ropes course, Saratoga Springs, Ballet Museum, Silent Night
Day 4 (Tentative) Native American History Day
Iroquois Museum and pow wow, “field day” activities, dance party
Day 5 Closing Day
Closing ceremony, sing along, departures
